Many reasons.: Less physical activity at home and work. (think tv clicker versus changing channels!) too much starch and sugar consumption. Eating out, especially fast foods. Too much time spent in front of an led screen: computers and tv. Coming home tired, and not finding time for formal physical activity. Less oudoor activites and play. True for both men and women. Need a better diet, more exercise!
