Abdominal pain: and Strep throat are largely unrelated unless you have developed post Streptococcal glomerulonephritis, an uncommon complication. Most likely you have been experiencing upset from the antibiotic used to treat the infection in your throat.

Hard to say for sure: Dehydration is a common cause of abdominal pain, and Strep throat commonly causes dehydration. Abdominal pain can be a side effect of many antibiotics. Pain that starts on the right side and then becomes all over could be due to appendicitis. Other symptoms of appendicits include: Loss of appetite, Nausea and/or vomiting, Abdominal swelling, and fever. Appendicitis can be a medical emergency.

Strep side effects: Strep throat can cause many unusual symptoms, especially in kids and teens. Abdominal pain can often be seen with strep in teens. However, because there are so many other possible causes of abdominal pain, some of which are dangerous, it would be wise to check with your doctor to make sure. Most strep symptoms improve within a day or two of starting an antibiotic. Feel better soon!
