Realize: The two may work against each other, as the caffeine in coffee is a stimulant and may keep you awake, while sleeping pills do the opposite. You may want to avoid drinking coffee within 2-4 hours of sleeping.

Used a drug: interaction checker which revealed no significant interaction btwn caffeine and ambien (zolpidem). But why take in a substance that stimulates with one that sedates?
