Depends.: HIV positive does not mean you have symptoms of any kind. It may take a while for signs to show up after you contract the virus. Hopefully you are under the care of a doctor with expertise with HIV, and the doc's goal is to prevent the HIV virus from leading to serious symptoms. Depending on the stage of the infection and the treatment, WBC counts can vary and be normal, low or high.
