When HIV is well controlled, either by the immune system or anti-HIV treatment, the virus may be undetectable in the blood (i.e. negative viral load RNA test). However, the standard blood tests for HIV antibody or antigen+antibody always are positive, no matter how well controlled HIV is or how low the blood level might be. If you've had negative Ab or AgAb test(s), for sure you do not have HIV.
