It can: It can but it very ,very seldom does. I know it can be hard to accept but this is really not something for you to worry about. Best wishes for a complete recovery.

Recurrence of ov ca: Recurrence of any cancer indicates that the intervention made to cure the cancer has failed. Mucinous ovarian tumors are low grade and have very low recurrence rates. I would continue to see your gynecologist yearly and have her screen you for ovarian cancer recurrence with a Ca-125 tumor marker test.
