From ystrday i've had a tight chest and it's not eased off! i'm coughing a lot more but nothing major. how long should i leave it to inform gp again?

Depends: It depends if you are short of breath. If yes, you need to talk about it to someone, before it gets more serious. So, not sure what 'tight chest' really means. Talk to the GP and ask them the same question. When should I re-contact you?
