Ask your doctor: ANA stands for antinuclear antibody and is a very good test to help you diagnosed autoimmune diseases like lupus but the fact that is positive alone may not mean anything. Actually healthy individuals can have a positive test, others that have been infected with certain type of virus also can have a positive test, sometimes is positive in thyroid disease, etc.
