Small: small meals are best. Low fat helps because fat delays stomach emptying and increases acid production. Also try to stay away from caffeine products as they increase the production of stomach acid. Try not to eat within three hours of bedtime since laying down is not healthy for people with gerd- because it brings the acid and stomach contents in contact with the esophagus.
