That depends : If it is IV sedation then Propofol is commonly used. If it is inhalation sedation then there are several different agents that can be used including isoflurane, sevoflurane and desflurane. What type is done and what agent will be used depends on what procedure us being done and how long they expect it to take. You anesthesiologist can answer this question in more detail.
