No single answer: There are many treatments for these two areas. Often arthritis of the thumb can be treated with topical ice and simple pain medications like acetaminophen or Advil (ibuprofen) Similar approaches with the back but often need higher doses Physical therapy for back is also very helpful You are somewhat young for typical osteoarthritis so there may be other things going on See a rheumatologist for surecdiagnosis
