Check diagnosis: At 36 itcwould be exceedingly unusual to have osteoarthritis without major trauma at this age i would be more concerned about a condition called spondylitis. I would seek the consultation of a rheumatologist to first make the correct diagnosis and start proper therapy.

Last night I accidentally stabbed my thumb and I think it has hit the bone. Its very sore but not much swelling. Its sore when I try bend it. Do I need special treatment or just antiseptic ointment?
