What is diabetic ketoacidosis? is it treatable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diabetes: ketoacidosis is severe dehydration and high glucose where the body shifts to fat metabolism leading to ketone formation and acidosis. It is a very severe and dangerous acute metabolic abnormality, which is a medical emergency but definitely treatable by hydration, insulin, correction of the precipitating factors and other support.
