How could an emt, not a paramedic, deal with a person in diabetic ketoacidosis?

Transport: Hi. I view EMTs and paramedics similarly -stabilize and transport to a hospital. An EMT should be able to get a diabetic in DKA to the closest hospital ASAP, where the medical team can almost always save the patient.
