It's called deadly: nightshade for a reason. If you are lucky, a bad hallucinatory experience, if not, you can have severe poisoning. I have had several patients who were very into hallucinogens who told me how much they regretted trying jimson weed, and that they never would again. As people get older, hallucinogens, which can cause profound increases in pulse and blood pressure, become more dangerous as well.
