A member asked:

What is complementary therapy? is it effective?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Helpful adjuncts: As the word is generally used today, "complementary" refers to a group of treatments that often help but are not intended to cure -- yoga, biofeedback, acupuncture, most homeopaths. Most of my colleagues respect and honor these practitioners. Avoid any "alternative" practitioner who talks about conspiracies to suppress miracle cures or offers something that's too good to be true.
