Very dangerous: and the high cannot really be described. George Gay MD wrote a book on heroin that was subtitled - it feels so good don't try it even once. It is an intense euphoria, a feeling of well-being and separation from all pain, physical, mental and emotional. However, many heroin users will tell you that they spend the rest of their lives trying to reproduce that first high (unsuccessfully).
