A member asked:

What can you do about a chipped tooth and sore tongue?

See a dentist: It sounds like you are asking about a chipped tooth and the rough edges are causing irritation of your tongue. It can be as simple as smoothing a rough edge to needing a crown or even more. Seeing a dentist would at least give you the chance to find out the state of the tooth and what your treatment options might be.

See dentist: You cannot really do anything on your own. Need to see a dentist who should give you options for repairing the tooth. The new smoothness of the tooth- shaving it a bit to remove the sharp edge or a restoration (filling, crown, veneer,) should help your tongue.

Simple Solution: Visit your dentist for evaluation and treatment. The sugarless gum can be placed over the rough edge until the dentist can be reached.
