It is steeped: in the teachings of traditional chinese medicine(TCM). But has many different variants, usually based on subtle variations undertaken in various countries. In essence, it is a form of medicine that strives to correct energistic imbalances in the body through stimulation of "gateway" points with needles, heat, laser, pressure, and/or electricity.
