A member asked:

What is the treatment for thrombotic thrombocytopenia purpura?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plasma transfusion: Ttp is due to deficiency of an enzyme normally present in blood. This enzyme controls the activation of platelets. The deficient enzyme is usually replaced by transfusing plasma and in severe cases by exchanging the patient's plasma with normal plasma.
