A member asked:

What does a noncardiac pulmonary edema do to the body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulmonary edema: Pulmonary edema fills the lungs with fluid and impairs oxygen getting into the blood stream. Any pulmonary edema does this. Noncardiac has causes like poisons, toxic inhalants, high altitude and low blood osmolality. The noncardiac cause has its own effects in addition to the oxygenation problem.
