How long can a person live with pulmonary edema?

Pulm edema: Somewhat of a difficult question. Pulmonary edema is a serious manifestation of heart failure or of serious lung injury that isn't cardiac related. Life expectancy depends on the underlying cause and whether or not the cause is readily treatable or reversible.

Depends...: This depends on many factors including the reason for the pulmonary edema to be present and if the etiolgy is treatable. Other factors include the rate at which the edema formed and how extensive the edema is in the lungs. There are so many factors that the answer needs to be given on a case-by-case basis.
