Delayed conduction: The ventricles receive their electrical signal through the right bundle, and the left anterior and posterior fascicles. If one if these electrical fibers in non-functional, the result is delayed activation of that part of the heart, and the complex on the EKG will be wider than normal.

Ecg: There is tissue in the heart that conducts impulses similar to wiring. We call these 'bundles'. On the ecg we sometimes see conduction blocked in one or more of them. These findings are called bundle branch blocks. There are left and right types as well as left anterior and left posterior types.
