Endocrinologist: You haven't stated her age, but once menstruation has started it may difficult to manage without the help of an endocrinologist. Even so, intervention may not be appropriate. If developmentally/mentally challenged, birth control may be an important consideration (for those who have impaired judgement and may be taken advantage of).
