A member asked:

What can happen if you burn your eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It hurts: Depends on the cause: thermal?, chemical?, uv light?, electrical? All of these can cause various degrees of mild to serious damage depending upon the intensity and duration of the exposure. Most burns , since reflexes are good to resist this, are short term and recovery is good, but some are deep seated and cause serious damage with vision loss a possibility.
