Irritant: The skin around your eyes is more delicate. You may be having an irritant dermatitis. You should switch cleansers to a mild one such as cerave and/or not get the cleanser near your eyes. Aquanil hc lotion is available otc and could be used for a few days to calm the irritation. If the problem persists see a dermatologist.

Moisturize: The skin of the eyelids is very thin and easily drys out, cracks, etc try a bland petroleum based moisturerizer at night.
