Rotavirus : Rotavirus is a viral infection spread through contact with the stool of and infected person. It is one of the major causes of dehydration from diarrhea in young children. Since there is no cure, treatment is supportive with rehydration and avoidance of dairy for at least 2 weeks. Vaccines for prevention are now given to infants under 6 months of age.
