A member asked:

What can cause me to get floaters in my eyes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Visualizing small: opaque or translucent objects in your vision can be indicative of vitreous floaters. This is a consolidation of the vitreous gel, composed of water & protein, that has detached itself from the retinal inner lining and now is floating above the retina. One can see the shadow of the floater cast upon the retina. If you are experiencing a new floater please see your retina specialist.
