Ear vs TMJ: Most common cause of ear pain is infection. Can be other ear problems. Most common cause of ear pain not due to ear is jaw joint (TMJ) problem. See ENT doc. If negative for ear pain, have oral surgeon examine jaw joint. If positive, see TMJ expert. Get referral from oral surgeon

See PCP or ENT: Many possible causes: allergies, earwax, ear infection or problems totally remote from the ear (TMJ, cervical spine). Proper diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. See your PCP or ENT for consultation.
