Comprehensive: Multiple traumas need to be treated in a comprehensive manner. You cannot just treat one injury at a time, you need to make sure the whole boy of injuries are managed at the same time. Naturally a physician will want to stabilize the most threatening injury at first, but then all of the injuries must be managed for the best outcome.
