Long list: The most common is a need for eyeglass correction. Eyes can be traumatized, develop various infections, are subject to many inherited diseases, can develop tumors and the lids can get a pimple like infection termed a stye. There are many subcategories of these. And of course diabetes commonly affects the eye, it can develop glaucoma or cataracts.
