Cover it: Most superficial left cuts can be treated with a thorough rinse with clean water , a mild soap, and an sterile bandage cover. Deeper cots may require cleaning with peroxide, then clean water, a mild anticeptic, and sterile bandage. For any cut wher fat or muscle tissue is exposed; seek medical attention if possible as a tetanus injection may be advisable.

Wound Care: Avoid peroxide - it damages tissue. Stop bleeding by applying pressure. Rinse wound w clean water. Clean surrounding skin w soap & water on wash cloth. Remove debris w tweezers. If material remains in wound – seek medical care. Apply antibiotic ointment. Initially cover w bandage until some healing has occurred. Change bandage when soiled/ wet or at least daily. Need tetanus shot if you haven't >
