Possibly: A hemorrhoid that is external and bleeding can usually be managed in office. A bleeding internal hemorrhoid may require rubber banding or some other form of surgery. Use the proctofoam twice daily, increase caffeine free fluids to 80-100 oz per day and if not improved in a week or so see a colon and rectal specialist. Good luck.
