Not like this: A compressed nerve could cause atrophy (wasting) of a single muscle or muscle group. If, however, muscles are weak or wasting all over your body, you need to be concerned about disorders like muscular dystrophy, rhabdomyolysis, or other serious problems.History-esp. family history-of nerve/muscle/autoimmune disorders are important & tests likely must be done.A visit to your doctor ASAP is in order
