Sore throat: If you remain ill, be rechecked. Ask about strep and mono. All the best.

URI: Most upper respiratory tract infections are viral infections, &most of these have no treatment other than treating symptoms until it passes.Sometimes a sore throat/neck pain can be a bacterial infection but we look at the whole picture to see who should be tested/treated.Why not just give antibiotics to all? They create SuperBugs, reactions, can hurt>help, & if it's mono(a virus), can cause a rash.
