Middle ear problem: The details are limited. However, a common scenario with a cold would be that there is swelling of the eustachian tube, which drains from the middle ear into the throat. A consequence can be that your ear feels congested, full, and your hearing is muffled or decreased. This would be the most likely scenario. However, you should see an ENT physician to evaluate.
