Some basics: Bronchitis is most often triggered by upper respiratory viruses that no antibiotic would kill. Sometimes a doc will use them to reduce chances of a secondary infection by bacteria but this is controversial. As long as the kid can take enough fluid to stay hydrated (pee every 6-8 hrs) , plays some & interacts with you he is stable. If his condition spooks you or he is not drinking, go in.
