Infection...: It could be an infection and most of the time is related to a virus. The treatment is rest and plenty of fluids. However, if pain is severe, high fever, or this has been going on for more than a week it is time to see your doctor for possible antibiotic treatment if found it is definitely associated to a bacterial infection.
