Prediabetes: Prediabetes is defined fasting glucose 100 -125 or HbA1c of 5.7 - 6 .4 or a blood glucose 140 -199 at 2 hours on glucose tolerance test. There is some variability in the actual number used, for example some criteria use a HbA1c of 6 a 6.4. , or a fasting > 110. However even using the most stringent criteria, you are now below the cutoff. Good Luck.

Prediabetes: The diagnosis of "pre-diabetes" is probably based on your fasting blood glucose level being over 100. If you have a family history of diabetes, that increases the likelihood that you have pre-diabetes. Your HgbA1c is well within normal limits. Interestingly, your fasting blood sugar levels are normal at home, which makes pre-diabetes less likely. Regular exercise can prevent progression to DM.
