Asthma: What "puffer"? is it steroid or rescue? Yes, of course you need to take him to the doctor or urgent care without further delay.

Yes: Persistent cough with an asthmatic should certainly be evaluated for asthma excacerbation or pneumonia. Please see your doctor or if unavailable see an urgent care or emergency room.

My 18month old keeps getting a runny nose and few days later he gets a heavy chest which sounds like he's whezzing with a cough. I took him to different doctors and everyone gyive different opinions. Like asthma, sinus bronculicus etc.
My daughter has a constant cough, runny nose and tight chest. She has mild asthma and is using the venteze inhaler but it does not seem to be working.
Why would the doctor prescribe an inhaler for my child's cough when she doesn't have asthma?
Is it normal to have chest pain and soreness after asthma attacks and coughing ? My cough is productive and persistent . I am fatigued without fever.
