Depends on dose/age: Accidental overdose in a child or infant should receive urgent medical care at an er. Overdose representing a suicide attempt requires prompt medical evaluation followed possibly by in patient psychiatric care. Celexa (citalopram) overdoses are rarely fatal unless there are other drugs/alcohol also involved.
