Yes.: Celexa (citalopram) is an antidepressant of the SSRI group have shown to help with the agitation especially with the "sundowning" phenomena in dementia. Individuals with dementia have depression and anxiety especially during the early stages and they get worse towards evening when the sun sets and it gets dark.
