Maybe: The problem is alot of women say they have braxton hicks when they actually describe regular contractions. Braxton Hicks are PAINLESS tightening. If it hurts that's a contraction and only way to know if its preterm labor vs. false labor pains is thru an evaluation with your OB. However, several contractions an hour several hours a day are relatively common.

Braxton hicks: braxton hicks contractions can occur throughout a pregnancy but are usually NOT regular and painful. At your stage of pregnancy - I would be concerned that these are signs of POTENTIAL pre term labor. Please check with your OB and get examined. good luck
