A member asked:

How much water is someone with diabetes supposed to drink in one day to lose weight?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Huh?: A person with DM should drink about the same amount of water as anyone else unless of course BG are very high in which case water requirements will be higher than normal to prevent dehydration. Increased water intake will not cause weight loss. And dieting will not increase the amount of water required except by the amount of water contained in the food that you eat.
