Monistat: Monistat is yeast medication that is available over the counter, i.e., you don't need a prescription. The other remedy is Diflucan (fluconazole), (fluconazole) a pill that tis taken as a single dose. Diflucan (fluconazole) has to be prescribed by a provider.

Treat the infection.: YOu can get over the counter yeast infection medicine. You can also get the prescriptioon. The yeast medicine sometimes comes in a cream that you can use on the outer aspect of the vagina if this is where the itching occurs. You can also use some benedryl The main thing is to treat the infection.
