Lose weight...: If you are not ovulating because of PCOS, Metformin alone may not be enough. You may need a fertility medication such as Clomid (clomiphene) to force your ovaries to ovulate. If you don't want to use a fertility medication, you may need to lose weight. Losing as little as 10% of your weight can help you to ovulate. Best wishes!

Diet and exercise: A diabetic diet, exercise, and weight loss can help with PCOS and sometimes can even reverse it. The fact that metformin decreases your insulin level makes it easier to loose the weight. Good luck. Be sure you are on your prenatal vitamins since the risk of birth defects is lowest if you are already on them when you conceive.
