Diet: I would look into his diet. Perhaps even a lactose intolerance, I would try a dairy free diet (no milk products for 5 days) and see if that relieves his symptoms. Also, how much juice does he drink? That is another thing that could cause these symptoms. Good Luck :)

Many possibilities: more information would be needed to make an accurate diagnosis. Does the pain improve after having a bowel movement? What tests were done? Was any imaging done? One of the most common causes of abdominal pain in children is functional abdominal pain and functional constipation. Even if child stools daily, constipation can still be present. More examination & eval is needed to make treatment plan.
