It looks like i have a canker sore on my frenulum (or at least i think that's what it's called), the strip right under my tongue. is this possible?

Yes: It's possible and very painful. Canker sores go away within 7-10 days. There are no very effective treatments that I've come across (and I've tried them all on myself and my patients!). It's worth trying anbesol or other treatments to see if they might help you but don't be surprised if they don't. The sores will go away on their own.
