Levofloxacin: Doxycycline mat not be sufficient to eradicate the most common bacteria that are responsible for an ear infection, while levofloxacin will. It should not bee routinely prescribed for children and adolescents, however.

Levofloxacin: doxycycline is a form of tetracycline and levaquin is a floxacin antibiotic. While neither is first line treatment for ear infection bugs, I would choose the levofloxacin for broader coverage.
