Cystoscopy. is it a big deal. does it show disorders of urinary tract? is it painful when u have chronic urethritis or stricture? can i have it with sedation not local topical anesthesia ?

Yes Possible: Speak to your doctor , get you proper medical clearance , anesthesiologist will evaluate you and the data , will make sure the procedure is painless . Just communicate with your physicians

Cystoscopy: is usually done under sedation and is not that painful. they use IV sedation and a lidocaine gel to further numb the urethra. There may be some post op burning but it usually resolves very quickly. I have personally had it done twice and tolerated it well.

Talk to urologist: Cystoscopy is performed to evaluate the function and health of to urethra and bladder. It is usually not painful with the topical local anesthetics that are used. Some urologists will administer a little sedation, so it is best to discuss the options with your doctor
